Do you have a plan on what to post next month? That's ok, you can use these content ideas to get your community engaged with your home bakery business!

Love these ideas? Be sure to save this post to your Pinterest boards and check back often so you don't miss when I post!

  1. Teacher Appreciation Day

Teacher Appreciation Day is May 3. That means you have about a week to prepare what you are going to post to your cake page on Instagram.

Post a school related treat and run a sale for teacher appreciation gifts. (Start posting about the sale as soon as possible and you can run the sale the entire week for Teacher Appreciation Week! This is also a great way to send some goodies to the teachers at your local schools!

You can also become a teacher for a day and teach your audience something new like how to cut one of your cakes!

2. Cinco de Mayo

It’s time to party! Cinco de Mayo is on…May 5th!

Celebrate with themed treats or share a day in your life on how you celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Anything taco related tends to do well around this time.

Oh! Maybe try to make a pinata cake and ask your followers, “Is it cake???”

3. Nurses Day

May 6 is National Nurses Day!

Say thank you to a nurse this week and offer something special for the nurses in your community. You can engage your followers by sharing a personal story in your stories about a time you needed a nurse. Maybe from when you were in school, lol.

School Nurse appreciation week follows right behind Teacher Appreciation week. Double down and bless the nurses at your local schools with some sweet treats! We’re building those relationships!

4. Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is May 8. Start sharing what you are offering for Mother's Day now. Reuse some of last year's content by sharing your favorite Mother's Day creations. You can create multiple posts leading up to Mother's Day and end with a Happy Mother's Day post.

Some great items to offer are cupcake bouquets, cake slices, tasting boxes, chocolate covered strawberries and so much more!

5. Clean Up Your Room Day

This is a fun one! May 10 is Clean Up your Room Day.

Time to get really creative! Share a behind the scenes reel of how you clean and organize your baking supplies. Maybe give a tour of your secret sprinkle closet, or share your ridiculously large collection of cake pans!

Have a cleaning party with your followers in your stories.

6. Eat What You Want Day

On May 11, share a short video of you creating one of your most delicious treats. Entice your audience to live it up and eat what they want, including your flavorful cakes because they deserve it.

Then in your stories, share what you're eating and be sure to include at least one of the treats you offer. Utilize the link feature to encourage them to book with you today to get their own!

7. Chocolate Chip Day

I couldn't decide if I should share chocolate chip day or dance like a chicken day. So we'll combine them both! Share something chocolate chip related on May 15. Maybe you have an awesome chocolate chip cookie or cake. Show how you package or make the product. Use the funky chicken sound in the background!

8. Macaroon Day

On May 31, share a video explaining the difference between a macaroon and a macaron. Take your audience on a field trip to see and explore the two. If you don't sell either, find another product you sell and clear up a common misconception about it.

9. Graduation Day

This is an all month celebration! Start advertising your graduation treat sales.

These grads have worked hard and deserve to be celebrated with your treats!
